Abdul Hafeez Kardar
Abdul Hafeez Kardar created history from the very beginning of Pakistan cricket; Pakistan’s first cricket captain, appointed in 1952-53 for the tour of India, Kardar led his side to victory against all Test playing nations.
He graduated from Oxford University with a blue. Kardar is remembered as the Father of Pakistan cricket.

Abdul Hafeez Kardar, having a lot of interest in politics and a major supporter of Pakistan’s Founding Father, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, went into politics and served as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board from 1972 to 1977.
He was forced to resign after a pay dispute with the players went public. Kardar also went on the become Pakistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland later in his life.
